Terms of Service
Last Updated: January 15, 2025
These Terms govern your access to LicenseVault's gaming license intelligence platform. By creating an account, you agree to these conditions. If you're browsing without registration, Section 3 (Content Usage) still applies.
1. Service Scope and Limitations
LicenseVault provides regulatory intelligence - not legal advice. Our jurisdiction comparisons, cost estimates, and timeline projections reflect current market conditions but don't constitute:
- Legal counsel on specific licensing applications
- Guarantees of regulatory approval outcomes
- Official interpretations of gaming laws
Here's the reality: Regulations change faster than we can update every data point. Malta amended B2B license requirements in November 2024 with 48 hours' notice. We caught it in 72 hours. That's industry-leading, not instantaneous.
Your responsibility: Verify critical details with jurisdiction authorities or qualified legal counsel before filing applications.
2. Account Terms
One account per organization. If you're a consultant serving multiple clients, contact us about multi-seat licensing - don't share credentials.
Acceptable use: Research, internal planning, client proposals (with attribution). Prohibited: Reselling our data as standalone reports, scraping content for competitor databases, using automated tools to bulk-download jurisdiction profiles.
We reserve the right to terminate accounts violating these terms. Refunds are prorated to the current billing month.
3. Intellectual Property
All jurisdiction analyses, comparison tools, and proprietary scoring systems remain LicenseVault property. You can quote up to 150 words with attribution ("Source: LicenseVault.com"). Longer excerpts require written permission.
User-submitted content (forum posts, jurisdiction reviews) grants us a non-exclusive license to display and moderate. You retain ownership but warrant you're not posting confidential client information or copyrighted material.
4. Data Accuracy and Updates
We audit top 15 jurisdictions monthly, emerging markets quarterly. Regulatory changes get flagged within 5 business days when officially published. Historical data (pre-2020 licensing costs) may contain gaps - we note these explicitly.
Found an error? Email [email protected] with the jurisdiction, date, and authoritative source. Verified corrections get implemented in 48 hours.
5. Payment and Cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically. Cancel anytime before the next billing date - no penalties, no retention dark patterns. Refund policy: Full refund within 14 days if you've accessed fewer than 3 jurisdiction profiles.
6. Liability Limitations
Our liability caps at the amount you paid in the last 12 months. We're not responsible for licensing denials, delayed applications, or financial losses from following outdated information you didn't verify.
That sounds harsh. Here's why it matters: A Curaçao operator blamed us when their 2019 sublicense got revoked in 2023 due to new beneficial ownership rules. They never checked the March 2023 update alert we sent. We provide tools, not insurance policies.
7. Dispute Resolution
Issues? Email [email protected] before filing complaints. We've resolved 94% of disputes within 10 business days through direct communication.
Unresolved conflicts go to binding arbitration under Malta Arbitration Centre rules (our jurisdiction of incorporation). Class actions are waived.
8. Changes to Terms
Material changes require 30 days' notice via email and platform notification. Continuing to use the service after that period constitutes acceptance.
